A TOUCH OF TINSEL

For those of you who know don’t know about  Tinsel Trading Company , you are in for a treat.  It’s the most incredible place where one can find exquisite vintage beads, buttons, ribbons, threads, fabric and the list goes on.  A lot of my goodies come from there.  I love their unique sequins, trims and fabric flowers.  I set a couple of hours aside whenever I’m in the Bead District because there is always something new to check out at this jewel of a store.

Recently I was there looking for some inspiration for a bouquet project I’m working on, and I took some shots of their vintage flower wall — it is to die for!  If you saw the recent JCrew catalogue with the lady wearing a lightweight coat and a cluster of flowers on her lapel — I was told they came from this shop.  There is so many different ways you can use these beauties:  Put them on your hair, dress up a present,  use them as place-cards or attach them to your dress!

Next time you visit New York make sure to put it on your to-do-list!

xoxo
